Charlotte Ronson's Spring 2012 Line

Obsessed. I aw a video of the runway show and I'm in love! Everything from the the flowy material and great prints to the bold belt chokers and the amzing shoes paired up with the outfits. I'm currently in love with maxi skirts and asymetrical hems. I love love love the sheer maxi skirts with the short lining which give more of a sex appeal to the usually covered up skirt. I love the wide range of patterns she had from  that jean patchwork, florals, the orange hues with the flowing whites, and then the striped black and white! I loved the chunky knit sweaters and the loose flowing crop tops. Between the lacy shorts, jean patchwork, flowy skirts, and the steamlined pencil skirt her line was like a Polished Ethereal Grunge. I love how everything is wearable and the models natural hair and makeup emphasize this, the regular woman can walk out in most of these pieces.  I'm obsessed with the belt chokers she used on the models!

Music Festival

So today I went to a music and art festival with my friend. It was soooo not what we expected, but cool/ wierd I guess. It was full of hippies.

All these pictures where taken by my friend Jasmine :). Soo basically it was a great day and I'm currently exhausted. We got to look at all the 'interesting' art. Some on the art included a bed frame that you could finger paint on with shaving cream, a buggy (car) spray painted and filled with flowers, giant paper mache heads, a teepee and soo much more. The wierdest display hands down? A fooseball table they had- sound normal? Well try sticking the bodies of a Barbie torso and up on each of the little soccer players. By the end of the day the sick little kids took off every barbie head and their tops... They did have some cool things- like the yoga tent, the nature tent where we made the crowns, and the sewing tent where we could literally just take the fabric, which we naturally wrapped on our heads and made turbans :). A 5$ well spent.

Not really my best outfits or most creative, but I was looking more for comfort today :)

My dream shoes

So I feel like every fashion blogger, beauty guru, person on lookbook, fashionistas on the street own a pair of the Jeffrey Campbell Litas. I'm not one to want something that is sooo popular, but I love these shoes. Jeffrey Campbell Is a shoe MASTERMIND and I would love to own a pair. The shoes are always a form of art and never boring. I love the Litas because they are so versatile and cool! They have an amazing lace-up bootie feel with a killer platform and heel. I personally would go for the black just to start off, but I love them all. The Cosmic ones are so unique! Sadly these beauties aren't in my budget so won't be gracing my feet anytime soon :(
~Well a girl can dream can't she :)

Soho

I'm a girl born and raised in New York- not the city, but NY none the less. I love going in to the city and being surrounded by the beautiful buildings and unique style everywhere. One of my favorite places to visit is Soho.

All taken from a recent trip to SOHO. -Kiosk
I love the secenery. The old buidings, street vendors with a million different accents, walls covered in graffiti, the old brick streets.
Of course the endless stores help as well :). The stores range from Chanel to H&M, Dash to All Saints and French Connection. My favorite would have to be shopping around the little boutiques and 'hipster' looking stores. Favorite places during my last trip to Soho:
  • Kiosk. this sketchy looking building covered in graffiti. The stairways and everything has last inch is covered in graffiti and then upstairs is this little shop with cool items from all over the world.

  • Right outside of kiosk is this little hole in the wall (literally) called Melissa's Cupcakes. She has all these cool decorated teeeeeny bite-sized cupcakes in so many flavors. They are soo good.
  • Every single street vendor, but there is this one area I found (idk the street :( ) Its a whole lot of vendors with everything from printed wallets, jewlery, briefcases, and belly dancing ensembles. Each vendor has such a cool accent. The wallet one was quite an attractive Turkish guy :)
